The Programme for Rangers

(14-17 years old)

The programme for Rangers is aimed to change the girls into young women. The long-run objective is to make the girls active and responsible citizens, future mothers and leaders, competent professionals. It can be achieved mostly by means of community service projects, social activities, international cooperation and exchange. The Programme contains 3 Programme Courses. They are expressed by the following messages:

1. “Become a Leader!” Learning objectives of the course are to acquire leadership skills, to make the girls confident and emancipated, to encourage decision-making, to show the principals of working with children, to instruct in working with children, to open wide opportunities in international Guiding.  

During this course a Ranger should:

- learn what leadership is, where it can be used, how it can be used

- learn how to bringing up and train a Girl Guide

- explore the opportunities of international Girl Guiding communication and projects

- practice working in the local Girl Guiding Boards, National Committees

2. "Make the World Better!" Learning objectives of the course are to initiate the girls into community service, social activities and business-projects.

During this course a Ranger should learn:

- what community service is, how it works and how to arrange it

- what social activities are, how they work and how to arrange them

- what business-project is, how it works and how to arrange it

- about joint work with other NGOs

- about volunteering and charity 

3. "Discover Yourself!" Learning objective of the course is overall personal development.

During this course a Ranger should:

- take part in seminars, debates, discussions and work-shops on different topics

- take part in national and international camps and jamborees

- develop knowledge about cultures of different nations, nationalities and countries 

- develop her potential of creativity
